We offer two ways of sound experience - a structured four-session sound therapy case study programme based on the BAST Method (The British Academy of Sound Therapy), and a restorative individual sound bath for deep relaxation
Four-session case study programme
based on the bast method
This programme includes four 1-2-1 sessions, intended to be taken weekly over a four-week period. The duration of each session may be approximately two hours.

A personalised 'Sonic Prescription' is carefully created for each session, guided by the client's individual needs.
In this unique approach, therapeutic sound and reflective practices complement one another, supporting insight, self-awareness and individual processes of change in health and wellbeing. The reflective approach is grounded in the Cooper Sax 7 Rs Model of Experiential Processing. The model is utilised in sessions to facilitate deep relaxation, where clients can explore feelings that arise during sound therapy.

Magic of Sound works with instruments such as the Monochord, Gongs, Crystal bowls and Himalayan singing bowls, which may be used individually or in combination in response to each client's needs, with percussion included in each session.

For example, a session may be relaxing or energising. Himalayan bowls may be placed on the body and played in a specific way working with muscle tension in the back, while the Monochord or Gongs may be used when working with chronic pain.

In the BAST method, instruments are combined and techniques are played in a carefully concidered way to influence brainwave activity, supporting entry into an altered state of consciousness (ASC) associated with deep relaxation or meditative experience.

1-2-1 sound bath
1-hour session
A sound bath is a deeply relaxing, immersive experience where you rest and listen as sound gently flows around and through your body.
The session aims to support the nervous system to settle, allowing the body to soften.

The sounds are played in a continuous, flowing way using instruments such as Crystal bowls, Himalayan singing bowls, Monochord, Gongs and gentle percussion. Instruments may be used individually or combined with one another.

There is no talking or reflection - you simply lie down, relax, and receive the sound.
